Your data
Delete your account
This page explains how to request deletion of your account in SET: Card Game & Brain Puzzle (published on Google Play and the App Store by Liad Zigdon), what we delete, what we are required to keep, and how long each takes.
Last updated: August 22, 2026
How to request it
Three steps, and no need to open the app.
-
Use the subject line Delete my account — SET so we spot it quickly.
-
Tell us which account
- If you signed in with Google or Apple: send the email from that same address, or name the address you signed in with. That is all we need.
- If you use Sign in with Apple with a hidden email: send the email from the private relay address Apple gave us, or include your in-game nickname.
- If you have never signed in: your progress sits under a random pseudonymous ID that we cannot look up from an email address. Include your nickname and roughly when you last played and we will do our best. The reliable route is to sign in with Google or Apple once — that links your existing progress to a real account — and then write to us from that address.
-
We confirm and delete
We reply to confirm it is really your account, delete it, and email you when it is done. We action every request within 30 days of receiving it, usually much sooner.
Deletion is permanent. Your scores, rank, streaks, coins and gems cannot be restored afterwards, and purchases already made are not refunded by deleting your account. If you only want to stop seeing your photo, you can remove your avatar in the app instead.
What is deleted, and what is kept
In full, so you know exactly what happens.
Deleted
- Your account record in Firebase Authentication — the user ID, and, if you signed in, the email address, name and profile photo we received from Google or Apple.
- Your game profile in Firestore — nickname, best score in every mode, total and unique sets found, daily-challenge streak, rank and XP, coins and gems, settings and preferences, and the list of themes, palettes and modes you own.
- Any avatar image you uploaded, from Firebase Cloud Storage.
- Your leaderboard entries and any records left in multiplayer lobbies.
- Your analytics and crash events in PostHog, which are tied to that same pseudonymous user ID.
- Your push notification token, so reminders stop.
Kept, and for how long
- Purchase and transaction records — held by Google Play, Apple and RevenueCat. These are tied to your store account rather than your SET account, we cannot delete them, and they are retained for tax, accounting, refund and fraud-prevention purposes for as long as the law requires (commonly up to 7 years).
- Aggregated, de-identified statistics — counts such as how many games were played in total, which can no longer be linked back to you. Kept indefinitely.
- Your deletion request email — kept for up to 90 days as a record that we handled it, then deleted.
- Residual copies in routine provider backups — overwritten within 30 days of deletion.

Deleting some data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete everything. If you want a specific piece of data removed but want to keep playing, email lilizigi@gmail.com with the subject Delete some of my data — SET, tell us which account (as in step 2 above) and which data you want removed. We handle these on the same terms as a full deletion: we reply to confirm, act within 30 days, and it is free.
Anything on the “Deleted” list above can be removed this way — your nickname, avatar, scores and leaderboard entries, rank and XP, daily-challenge streak, settings, or your analytics and crash events. The items on the “Kept” list stay for the reasons and periods given there: purchase records held by Google Play, Apple and RevenueCat, de-identified aggregate counts, your request email for up to 90 days, and residual backup copies for up to 30 days.
Some of it you can do yourself, without writing to us at all: remove your uploaded avatar from your profile in the app, and turn off reminders or personalised advertising from the More menu.
